Returning by popular demand! Steve and Sandy Mitton will host a wrangler ride in Traverse City, MI following MTR, on Tuesday, 9/5 – Thursday, 9/7. Traverse City is about a 5 hour drive from Fort Wayne. As always, you must be a 2023 COWS member to participate.

Itinerary
Monday (Sept 4):
Plan to arrive in T/C (accommodation recommendations below).
Tuesday (Sept 5):
Old Mission Peninsula Ride (41 & 24 mile routes) Ride departs at 9 am. Ride starts and ends at East Bay Park (220 E Bay Blvd S. Traverse City). This ride is one of the most beautiful routes in Michigan with views of both East Bay and West Bay. The 24 mile route is relatively flat with only 472 ft of climbing. The 41 mile route goes out to OMP Lighthouse where we will stop for a restroom break. There is a bit more climbing on this route but still fairly flat.
5pm – 8pm Cookout @Jerry & Sharon Glenn’s House (1832 Timber Lane Dr T/C). The Glenns will provide Burgers, cheese, buns, corn and condiments. Other items will be provided by others once attendees are known.
Wednesday (Sept 6):
Glen Arbor Ride: 36 Miles fairly flat (Led by Ken & Cindy Rosiek)
Meet at Glen Arbor Schoolhouse for a 10am departure
Ride to include a lunch stop along the route.
Thursday (Sept 7)
Leelanau Trail Ride (43 & 32 Mile routes) Ride departs 9 am. Meet at Darrow Park (1025 Bay Street Traverse City). This is a classic Rail Trail Ride up to the neat town of Suttons Bay. The route isvery flat unless you take the Lee Point Loop (on the 38 Mi route). While up in Suttons Bay there are several shops and places to eat.

Camping Option:
Keith Charters Traverse City State Park & Campground (231-922-5270): Located on the East side of Traverse City and across the street from East Bay, this campground is very convenient to the bike trail which you could ride to the start of the rides on Tuesday and Thursday
